How it started

Clubbly was founded by Cambridge graduates Michael Ledzion and Matthew Wells in 2016.

Michael and Matthew have been friends since University and have bonded over a mutual love of mountain biking and scuba diving.

Michael has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in and about schools. He currently runs Sports for Schools (a Social Enterprise that bring Olympic athletes into primary schools to inspire children), he’s a governor of a secondary school and a dad to two daughters. He realised that after school clubs can be a real admin headache for schools. But most of all, he wanted to find a way to provide more lower cost clubs led by better qualified & better paid coaches. His great idea was a ‘hub for clubs’: for schools, parents and coaches to run all their clubs in a single place, at no cost to the school.

Matthew has almost 30 years experience as a software professional and has the skills to put Michael’s vision into practice. Under his guidance we have developed an amazingly simple tool for managing all aspects of extra-curricular school clubs, which each day saves people vast amounts of time.
